Sladegirlie – I went to the gig local to me and The Rubettes were great (even tho they didn’t sing “”You’re The Reason Why”” ) Sweet were amazing and should have headlined really but Showaddywaddy were dire and very disappointing. On the way out everyone was talking about how dreadful they were which is such a shame.
Apologies to everyone there as it turned out I was the only person standing and giving it real welly when Hell Raiser blasted out. I thought everyone would stand but alas no, only me. Hey ho!

Rennie – You only live once Slade you go for it. I saw Showaddywaddy a few years back when I first went to Butlins and they were pretty dire then too well at least Dave Bartam was. Unfortunately his voice seems to have totally gone. I remember someone giving him another mike thinking it was faulty but it was him.

David – I too saw the Rubettes once (took my dear old late Mum would you believe). They were good. Alvin Stardust was on the same bill and he was really on form. Suzi Quatro was also playing – still wearing the leather…..
Shame about Showaddywaddy – and it’s ironic that that’s one of the few bands with the same singer.

Glam-Rockett – I have seen Showaddywaddy a few times and yes they are a bit naff but David you are spot on with the Rubettes. I have seen them a couple of times and they are really good. Glam xxx

Glam-Rockett – The show was good, the Rubettes were on top form and the Sweet had everyone up and dancing. What can i say about Showaddywaddy though that hasnt been said before. Unfortunately (or fortunately) we had to evacuate the theatre just before the end as there was a fire, so Showaddywaddy never got their encore. Glam xxx
