When I think back on the 70s the biggest heroes for me were the F.A Cup winners Chelsea whose team I had proudly sellotaped to my wall after they beat Leeds. At that time I could name them all but I would be hard pressed now as my grey cells aren't what they used to be.

But as I started going through all these sporting memorabilia items the names of the great sporting stars of the 70s starting coming back to me. Names like Olga Korbut, Ian Botham, Mark Spitz and Mary Peters to name just a few.
