70s banned films

Rocksgirl – the films that were banned in the 70s have all been released over the years. I’ve seen quite a few like the exorcist, texas chainsaw massacre etc but one film i will NEVER watch again…

First house on the Left…anyone seen it?

Talk about brutal!!! Made even worse by the fact that its a true story!

James Blast – even A Clockwork Orange, the most vilified film in the UK is now readily available

Rocksgirl – They showed Clockwork Orange on terrestrial after Stanley Kubrick died. Apparently he didnt want it shown until after his death.. or so i read anyway. Still havent seen it and to be honest, dont think i want to.

Rennie – It’s an interesting film is Clockwork but talking about banned films I have a copy of the uncut *The Beast* Watching it Wednesday night … I’ll let you know my opinion

James Blast – *The Beast* is ringing no bells at Chateau B’last Boss, need more info.
A Clockwork Orange has its moments, but doesn’t really translate for our ‘oh so sophistcated’ tastes these days. I still like sections of it (the ultra violence/the music/Malcolm McDowell) and Anthony Burgess’s theme – freedom of thought, speech and action. No matter the consequences. That still stands up.

Rennie – Oh my god……. you have to watch it to believe it

James Blast – Rennie wrote:”Oh my god……. you have to watch it to believe it”

please explain

Rennie – I can’t explain it James pm me your address and I’ll send it to you. It’s an experience

Awombleforever – Hi Rennie looked up the beast on google and only comes out with a new film, not the same one? I will be bringing a clockwork orange on dvd ,if anyone wants to watch it again. One of Deans favorites.

Awombleforever – Sorry I forgot, Hello to James too, have been wondering whats happened to you lately?Hopefully not another hospital visit.

James Blast – thanks womble and rennie, yup another spell in the ‘ossie and you must include If, Caligula and Britannica Hospital in your Malcolm McDowellfest

Hattie – The Sentinal too that was banned ………… was awful scared the heck outa me

Rennie – Haven’t seen that one Hatts have to take a look. I know a film that should be banned.

Never too young to rock. lol Started watching that the other day and my what a bad film that is.
Still entertaining tho in a bad way. Nice to see Dennis from Please Sir again.

Teacher *Dennis, what do you want to be when you leave school*
Dennis * An horse*

Awombleforever – How can you say that Rennie Mind you I did say you had to be on drugs to watch it It was quite good though I thought, enjoyable but only because of the bands in it and the nostalgia.
