Here’s something that came back to me t’other day, Do you remember those Hair Crimpers that made your hair all zig-zaggy? Im sure they were around in the seventies but it could have been later? Maybe they’re still out there? Teesy-Weesy- Chad

I have some myself,I don’t think they were good for your hair though.

Yeah I remember crimpers. I loved that style. I think it was more 80’s though but could have scraped in late 70’s. Rather than use the crimping machine I used to sometimes plait my hair and leave it in overnight then next day undo the plaits and …………….. PING. Looked a bit like I’d had an electric shock

Awombleforever – Funny you should say about plaiting the hair. I have a photo of me somewhere a few years ago where I did exactly that. When I find it ,I will post it up.Sounds just like what you have described”
