Abba & Take That Supergroup

It has just come to my attention that Agnetha Faltskog is looking to relaunch her career with the help of Take That’s Gary Barlow.
Agnetha is working on her first original song album for 25 years and according to skynews.au Gary has already penned two songs for it one of which is a duet and apparently tipped to be a hit.

The Doobie Brothers Taking it to the Streets

Tom Johnstone is still keen on playing live and plans to keep it going for 2013. Although they have teamed up with Chicago on previous engagements no plans for joint ventures are in the pipeline but there’s a little tease in their interview with ABC radio when he referred to a new project which should “captivate” fans.

AC/DC were certainly not the quickest at taking up the digital avenue for promoting their music but they are now using this channel to it’s fullest by releasing 6 concert videos for all their fans to download.

70s Alive and Well in Swindon

If you love the 70s and a good old sing song then this event is for totally for you. Former A1 singer Paul Marazzi will fronting a live band singing classic hits of the 70s and the whole evening is going to be hosted by one of the top DJ’s of the 70s Tony Blackburn.

It sounds an exciting event which will be happening at the Wyvern Theatre, Swindon.

Seasonal Tribute to The Clash

One of the great cult groups to come out of the 70s is the Clash and their music will certainly live on with tributes being organised like this one showing they are truly global with this one being organised in Vancouver.

Happy Birthday Maurice White

Aside from the world not ending today it is also the Birthday wedneaday of the great Maurice White who was the man behind the exciting funk soul band Earth, Wind & Fire. A little belated I know but the man deserves to be recognised.
