Newtown was the place where the fictitious town was set. It ran through the 60s and 70s and was a must see show.
Just look at some of the famous names that came out or starred in Zcars.
Stratford Johns who had a spin off but cannot remember the name.

Ah Ronald Leigh hunt who also appeared in my favourite series ‘Freewheelers’ along with Wendy Padbury of Dr.Who fame AKA Zoe Herriot.

I loved the Freewheelers and am I right in thinking that Ronald Leigh Hunt was the Schhhhhhh Schweppes man?
