Seventies Man

I did not realise until today that the actor Simon Ward died this year. I mostly recall him being in the original series of UPSTAIRS DOWNSTAIRS.
He of course was the star of the film YOUNG WINSTON, but for me he was a great replacement for Roger Moore in RETURN OF THE SAINT back in the 70s.
My mum said he was always too good looking for his own good.

He also starred in ZULU DAWN, THE FOUR FEATHERS,ACES HIGH, ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL

I think you are confused. Simon Ward was not the saint. It was Simon Ogilsby!!
