Seventies Man

How sad that the great Richard Briers passed away this week. I spent the 70s watching and re-watching every episode of The Good Life and I have really wanted to meet him during my school years. He was a great guy.

He suffered in later life because of his smoking, and we will all miss him. I am sure he had a GOOD LIFE

I always hoped there would be some follow up series. Now with Paul and Richard gone it would not even be worth it.

The first series bombed. It was only because of a strike during the 1970s that the show was repeated to cover news programmes. That is when it became a huge classic.
