I think the Munich Olympics was the time I really began to get interested in news and especially live events. I got home from school and my brother told me that there were Gorillas in the Olympics and it was live.
Of course he meant guerrillas and for the next few hours I was hooked to the screen as David Coleman stayed on air and talked the nation through those events and the deaths that followed.
I never really asked myself why David was doing that and not the newsroom?

Yes that was a really bad time for terrorists, we have a guide to the amunich games in our shop by coincidence.

I just watched a three part film about one of the main terrorists of the 70s involved with the spate of plane hijacking and how certain governments actually supported them.

The film MUNICH a few years ago was so educational. I did not get the politics back then.
