Seventies Man

Let’s look back at the time of real classic family Christmas TV.
9:00am Ragtime
9:15am Hark the Herald Angels Sing
10:00am The Happy Prince
10:25am Appeal: National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children
10:30pm Service from St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, in the presence of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh
11:45am Rod Hull and Emu Poor Rod fell off his roof and died.
12:20pm Laurel And Hardy (b-w) Perfect fun for Christmas day.
1:20pm Holiday on Ice.. I hated this!!!!
2:10pm Top of the Pops 75 (part 1) All the family watched this. Dad watched Pans People
3:00pm The Queen speaks to the Commonwealth – a little boring but it gave dad a chance to sleep.
3:05pm Billy Smart’s Christmas Circus. I loved it.
4:05pm The Wizard of Oz (film) starring Judy Garland. Nothing changes
5:45pm News
5:50pm Bruce Forsyth and The Generation Game. PERFECT FUN.
6:55pm Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em Micheal Crawford at his best!!
7:40pm Morecambe and Wise Christmas Show. This is wh Christmas was invented.
8:45pm Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (film) starring Paul Newman, Robert Redford, Katherine Ross,,,, GREAT FILM
10:30pm The Good Old Days, music hall from the City Varieties, Leeds..bored now
11:20pm News
11:30pm Parkinson Meets Bob Hope.. I would love to watch this now.
12:30pm Weather

Bruce was the best. I loved the plays he would do with so called celebrities. Great fun.
