Seventies Man

I had to beg my mum and dad to let me stay up and watch the Adam Faith TV series called Budgie. I suppose it was a form of Minder but more studio based. There was one episode that went out about acid been thrown in someones face.

I saw it and it was nothing amazing and then the rest of the series was banned because of a public outcry. I liked the heavy dialogue and the gritty style. Well ahead of its time.

I think you may be wrong as Budgie ran for two years and was not puled. I think it was put back later in the evening though.
