Seventies Man

I loved this series about two girls house sharing in Liverpoool during the 1970s. It starred my dads favourite dream girl at the time- Nerys Hughes. For me it was Polly James who made me laugh, she ws so “common” according to my mum. However I think my mum tried to be like Sandra’s mother played by Mollie Sugden.

I frecall a repeating story line about Rabbits- why is that?

I met Polly James in the 90’s in a play along with the main lady in the 70’s series Survivors, Ah I remember it well because the lovely Alexandra Bastedo from The Champions came down the stairs to sign my book only because I flashed a bubblegum card from the series to her lol

The Champions although in the 1960s was always repeated throughout the 70s. Why oh why did they not continue with that amazing series?

I loved the champions too. I was bowled over when one of the guys turned up in sitcom.

You did it again!

I read that a film was going to be made of the champions- but it never happened- how sad.
