Seventies Man

We had David Vine and Michael Aspel present the Miss World shows in the 70s and I know my dad loved sitting there for two hours. The rest of us liked the music and the glam- but we were not at that time licking our lips at the girls.
I remember the 1971 show was held at the Royal Albert Hall in London and if memory serves me right Bob Hope was a guest presenter. I am sure that is when Bob was pelted with bags of flour by womens lib activities.
Of course he did well and just smiled and carried on. Live TV!
