Seventies Man	I am going to have stones thrown at me now because when the Old Grey Whistle Test went out in the 1970s I absolutely hated it. I was more interested in the Top Of The Pops and it was not until the nineties I realised what a plonker I was. The music was fantastic and the relaxed way the show was presented made it something very special. Whispering Bob was always a little too clever for me, but the bands I watched back make me very nostalgic. It was also one of the few LIVE TV shows that was able to be very open in its running time. In those days it could over run and not be an issue as the weather and the national anthem were the only things to follow. Rennie	Yes the whistle test was a great show and one where you could see top album bands who would never ever be seen on TOTP
