£5,500 – £6,000 circa 1976
Refusing to rush a new model onto a depressed market. AC have gone on developing their mid-engined sports coupe. The removable roof panel is more curved; the front is modified; grilles protect the air ducts in the bonnet. The body is double-skinned glass fibre; the engine is Ford V6. the five-speed gearbox is by Hewland. Production should start by the end of the year.

Price circa 1975 £5,500
0n show at Earls Court for the third successive year, the three litre mid-engined AC is still in production, although it is confidently expected that supply troubles will soon be overcome.

The trendy body shape conceals a Ford V6 engine mounted transversely behind the two seats where it drives the rear wheels through a five-speed gearbox. Bodywork is in glass-fibre on a steel centre-section. The latest model has a curved (instead of flat) roof, the front-end is modified, and there is a bonnet-top grille in place of the earlier slots. A striking, and fast car from a sports car specialist.

Cars of the 70’s

Something that is always of interest, especially to us blokes is cars, so looking back on the old motors of the 70s was certainly something of a treat. With a lot of thanks to all my classic car friends we've put together a great collection of 70s cars including the iconic Capri for you to have a look through, and to make it a little more interesting, we've written it all as if we were in the 70s and even inserted the going price for the cars at that time.
