Alfa Romeo Alfetta GT

£3,798 circa 1976
Quickest and sleekest of the Alfetta range, the GT has height adjust-ment for steering wheel and driving seat. Like all Alfettas it has clutch, five-speed gearbox and differential grouped at the rear with a De Dion axle for optimum weight distribution and road holding. The latest Alfetta saloon is the economy 1.6 with light alloy engine of 1,570 c.c. giving 108 b.h.p. with lower fuel consumption.

£3797 circa 1975

No changes to the wind cheating Alfetta GT for 1976, the Giugiaro-styled 2+2 coupe continuing in 1.8-litre form. Based on the Alfetta saloon,GT has a shorter wheelbase and is some 13.5 kg lighter, resulting in better acceleration. The superior streamlining plays its part in a higher maximum speed. Another technical feature the GT has in common with the saloon is the five-speed gearbox mountd on the final-drive unit at the rear of the car. Rear suspension is by de Dion tube. In keeping with its name, performance and shape, the interior is sumptuously appointed.

Cars of the 70’s

Something that is always of interest, especially to us blokes is cars, so looking back on the old motors of the 70s was certainly something of a treat. With a lot of thanks to all my classic car friends we've put together a great collection of 70s cars including the iconic Capri for you to have a look through, and to make it a little more interesting, we've written it all as if we were in the 70s and even inserted the going price for the cars at that time.
