A step up from the 2CV and better looking, the Dyane shares the same basic mechanical features with more comfort and refinement. Its two-cylinder air-cooled engine, push-pull and twist gear lever and the gently undulating ride from its interconnected suspension give it a character all its own. Maintenance is easy and it uses very little fuel. A roll-back sun roof is included.
The Dyane is the model between thc 2CV and the Ami 8, and like all three is powered by a 602 cc air-cooled twin-cylinder-engine which drives the front wheels. A little better-looking than the 2CV, the Dyane has
faired-in headlights, six side windows, good fresh-air ventilation, and superior trim. There is the full-length roll-back sun- roof, and an average fuel consumption of around 45 mpg, even with hard driving. The engine has a slightly higher compression ratio than the 2CV and is a little more powerful, but demands the use of three to four star petrol.
