Bristol’s topless model is new, and like the 411 saloon, is Chrysler-powered. The 61/2-litre 412 has a ‘Targa’ clip-on roof panel which can be left in the garage during clement weather,
while there is a built-in roller’ type hood which pulls-out from the central roll-over body section for unexpected showers, The rear compartment has its own fold-down hood, and the car’s design is aimed at roomy comfort for four six footers. The boot is huge and the spare wheel is stowed in a front wing. The Bristol is hand-made, beautifully finished and expensive.
