Rarely do items such as this come to market and represents a unique opportunity to obtain a piece of history from arguably the greatest game in history and certainly one of the greatest try’s of all time.We are of course referring to the famous game when the all conquering and rampant All Blacks came up against a hugely talented and motivated Barbarians side at the Arms Park on 27th January 1973.The All Blacks had beaten every team put before them and included many legends of the game. This unique item is the actual shirt worn by Ian Hurst the All Blacks Centre on the day.The shirt is numbered 12 and displays the embroidered badges of the era. Up until now it has been stored in a frame out of direct sunlight so is presented in what is considered very good condition based on the age of the shirt. The shirt was obtained by the Barbarians captain John Dawes and is being offered for sale unframed with the opportunity of meeting John Dawes in Cardiff or a mutually agreed location for a presentation photos and if required the shirt signed with or without a dedication.A signed letter from John will be provided and he can also tell of his personal experiences of that famous day!Spirit of Sport are can also undertake the framing of the shirt if required.
