Slade Mud Trextacy

Jack Regan – I can’t wait ina few hours me and Tiger feet have front row at Dunstable for a spring show. We caught the tour at Windsor at Christmas when I was feeling preety rough from a cold. Still gave it my all but tonight is going to be GGRREEAAAT.

Inflateable guitar packed and even though there are no original member left in Mud, When the intro to Dynamite comes on I really lose it.

There are so many great gigs coming up for an old git like me. Ace Frehley (ex Kiss guitarist ) next Friday and Saxon on the 23rd April.

ANyone else been to any good gigs recently?

Bolan-ette – We went away the weekend before Easter and saw Mud, Dr & The Medics, Racey, The Love Affair, The Move, Marmalade, The Dreamers, The Rockin Berries and some tribute bands, it was a great weekend.

We are going to see Status Quo in July too.

Hope you enjoy your night

Jack Regan – What an absolutely brill gig. being front row we were right on top of the stage. Everyone stayed seated during Mud except for Tiger Feet which had everyone up and rockin,so I had to loose it in my chair during Rocket and Dynamite. Trextacy played their usual enjoyable set but Slade were so on form.

It really brought back memories of when I saw them in the early 80’s with Dave taking charge of the show. Mal McNulty the lead singer does a grande job of growling through in true Nod style but Daves antics steal the show.

Absolutely the best night of 2008 by a long long way.

Rennie – Yes Jack I was so impressed when we saw them at Butlins the other year.
“The Wall of sound” summed it up totally. Truly awesome.

Awombleforever – Sounds like you had a great time,I don’t like the thought of being seated though.
I think the best are where ,like Butlins ,you are in the crowd, able to dance and party .

Jack Regan – Totally agree Womble, I hate seating. Fortunately everyone was up
dancing from Tiger Feet onwards. There were no cameras allowed which upset some of our friends.

All the Sweet fans that went have agreed we won’t be going to many of the up coming tour with Rubettes and Showaddwaddy because its all theatre style venues.

Sadly with Escape’s new design we couldn’t incorporate the old threads into the new forum but so we don’t lose all those magical old chats we’ve collected them all here for you to go back and read.
