James Blast – Yes, Genesis, Roger Dean art, Curved Air, Mott The Hoople, The Pink Floyd, Roxy Music, Strawbs, ELP, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Aerosmith, Uriah Heep. I’dve had loadsa King Crimson too, if I coulda found any
Tanktop – And I found a poster in Another brick in the wall, James it is my duty to arrest you
James Blast – I think you’re getting better slowly
Goldencup – My bedroom walls were completely covered in posters, mostly from ‘Popster’ which was a pop poster magazine. I had Donny, Andy & David Williams, Bay City Rollers, plus a selection of Chelsea FC!
Tanktop – Hey Goldencup, I have All sing together on cd which was the b.side of Blue is the colour 1972, they sing a bit out of tune but I like the song
Goldencup – I’ve got the original single somewhere too. I don’t think it will feature on my 70’s top ten though!
Rennie – The only poster i can think I had up was the FA CUP winning side of Chelsea.
I could remember all their names then…… hmmmm not so good now.
McCreadie, Osgood,Hollins, Houseman, Bonnetti…. grey cells are failing me now
Goldencup – This is really sad but I used to be able to recite the entire Chelsea squad at that time. As you say, the memory cells are fading somewhat now.
Hinton, Hutchinson, Webb, Hughes, Bonetti, Tambling, Hollins, Harris, Osgood, McCreadie, er……that’s all I can remember.
Rennie – oh how could I forget Dave Webb lol Can anyone help us out here?
Goldencup – I was more surprised at you forgetting ‘Chopper’ Harris and Ian Hutchinson! – who could forget those long throws?
Rennie – lol oh yes *Chopper Harris* lol What great nicknames they had then.
Chelsea vs Leeds Ron *Chopper* Harris vs Norman *Bites yer leg* Hunter
James Blast – this thread has gone way off topic Behave! or, no jelly and iced cream
Rennie – Aw we were still talking about posters matey.
Thats the only poster I can remember putting up on my walls.
Imp – Am I growing old and confused but didn’t the most popular poster around at the time feature a young lady in tennis gear walking away from camera with an itch in a rude area?
Rennie – yes you are certainly right. I remember that one… tho can’t think why?

she posed for an update recently
Awombleforever – She’s been eating too many wagon wheels
Tiger – My “wallpaper” of choice was generally Donny Osmond, Bay City Rollers, Flinktock, Starsky and Hutch and a “”Love Is…”” poster but I can’t think which one it was now.
My bedroom wall was riddled with tiny holes from the drawing pins (a bugger when they fell out of the wall and you trod on them!!) but my mum wasn’t too concerned, coz it saved on having to decorate.
slightly off topic…
My mum actually made me a pair of BayCity Roller trousers (with the tartan around the bottom and down the sides) and knitted me a multi-coloured tank top. I thought I was the cat’s whiskers!!!
Lainybins – I had to share a room with my little sister so my half had Donny Osmond, Bay City Rollers, Sweet, Sparks and 10CC posters on the walls whilst my sister had Winnie the Pooh and Piglet on hers until one day when she suddenly announced she was in love with Marty Kristian of the New Seekers and we knew puberty had arrived for her!
Oh, and Tiger, I have a teddy bear called Donny who is dressed to this day in a rather neat Bay City Roller outfit my big sis made. I knitted the socks, which explains why they aren’t very good ~ unlike the tartan-trimmed white suit!

Milliemop – Hi guys, i think i had a thing for Davids ,the only posters i had were David Cassidy and David Essex, didn’t like Donny O but blimey id stick him to my wall now
Tiger Feet – Early 70’s I had posters of Sweet, Marc, Bowie, Slade and The Glitter Band on my walls. Then for a time I had pics of BCR (I know I know) and Rosetta Stone. Also a band called Buster, they weren’t THAT famous but I went to see them live once and got into them for 5 minutes.
