Pink Panther

Pelican – There were at least 2, if not 3, pink panther films in the 70s.
I remember seeing them at the pictures. Peter Sellers was brilliant as Inspector Clouseau, Cato was good, but I liked the chief inspector with the nervous twitch. Who played that part?

Tanktop – Hi Pelican how you doing ? Herbert Lom is the actor in question whose real name is one of the longest names ever, luckily I don’t know it because it would take a page or two to type it in

Rennie – Great films and still really funny. Were you expecting a bomb?????

Karen – Pink panther…..reminds me of Lily the pink song and that awful dance.

Rennie – What dance? Jennifer Eccles had terrible freckles and the boys all called her names
But she changed with medicinal compund now he joins in all their games

Karen – come on Rennie….expand the Bohhhy’s….remember the emphasis?
The dance now then….I once upon a time holiday’d in Cornwall a place called Trelawn.
It was there I learnt to dance to Lily the Pink…..clapping under the knee turning sideways etc –

Rennie – Ahhh *The Slosh*
Yes I remember that, clap under you leg then turn and walk side to side.
lol such an exciting dance Trelawn? was that in Looe? I went there too how spooky is that????

Imp – That was called the slosh up here LOL, awful thing all the old grannies used to do it and make the kids join in.

Rennie – Yes I know but I’ve got my eldest brother to blame because he introduced it at one of our parties.

Karen – Gosh Rennie you remember Trelawn. Im shocked…. they had a lovely DIVING board., and sweet gardens lit pretty at night.

Rennie – I don’t remember the diving boards or the gardens, but I do remember the pasties!!!

Karen – Funny that – cause the pasties onthe camp site were sold next to the diving board. Haha

Rennie – My god how can you remember that? it was 30 years ago!!! ROFLOL

Karen – Crumbs – now I do feel old Rennie….. thanks alot mate…….

James Blast – RTTT
‘do you haiv a laysonce foar yeur minkey’?

Rennie – Minkey?

James Blast – Yes, minkey’ ‘does yeur dog bite’?

Rennie – Minkey Its not my dog!

James Blast – this should be the post before the last one
peddler in street – “No”
French policeman – “Wah! yeur dog jus bit me”
and then Rennie’s post

Rennie – lol Sorry James got carried away with the minkey part

I started building Escape in 2005 and in it’s early form I had the pleasure of a great 70s community. Sadly with Escape’s new design we couldn’t incorporate the old threads into the new forum but so we don’t lose all those magical old chats we’ve collected them all here for you to go back and read.
