Ian Botham OBE – Signed match England test shirt Presentation

This very rare item of England test match memorabilia is a shirt worn by Sir Ian Botham in a Test Match.It carries all the embroidery and logos associated with this era and is clearly signed across the front of the shirt. It is presented in a deep box frame giving a distinct 3D effect and is framed in a stunning light wood surround with double mounts.Set within the mount is the famous image of Botham smoking a cigar just before he annihilated the Aussies at Headingly in 1981. Measures in at a large and impressive 98cm by 81cm.Finally there is a plaque that states the following.Botham made his Test debut against Australia in 1977 and went on to enjoy a Test career spanning 15 years in which he played 102 matches. He scored 5200 runs and took 383 wickets which is still the highest number of wickets ever taken by an England player. He will probably be best remembered for the 1981 Ashes series which is now referred to as ‘Botham’s Ashes’.Part of a large private collection this is a superb signed item of Ian Botham memorabilia presented in excellent condition.
