Review by Jack Gattanella

Nuit américaine, La (1973)

Cute, yet interesting,
Francois Truffaut now has a film that is a gift for film buffs (like me). Mainly fluff, but good story telling showing a director (Truffaut plays this while directing himself) who is having trouble directing a movie and has the help of a woman (Bissett). Interesting because it takes a look into the directing process (sort of), but also is surrounded with typical Truffaut romance that makes good entertainment.

Truffaut won his one and only Oscar (well deserved) for best foreign film. A+
