Masterful,

I can’t say much more than people have already said on this page. The visual and aural experience of this film is surely one of the most amazing things ever to be experienced. But I think that one thing almost everyone forgets is the actual story. It might not seem extraordinarily complex, but trust me, it is.

The key to fully appreciating this film is to watch it with the realization that Linda is the narrator of the story, and is the main character.

Malick very slyly shifts the focus away from her, so that she enters your mind from the back. Just watch the film with her character in mind, and you will have a whole new experience, no matter how many times you’ve seen it before.
