Seventies Man

It was at the end of the 70s when we were first introduced to that nasty Alien and to one of the strongest women in space the great Sigourney Weaver. I know there have been so many follow ups to this film but the original is simply the best in terms of tension and action.

The John Hurt scene was always the one that the public would scream too. I have heard several times that the filming of that scene was kept secret to everyone apart from John Hurt and a couple of others.
So when the alien exploded from his stomach that was never rehearsed and the shock on the faces of the rest of the cast was real.
I hope that story is real too.

That’s my favourite Alien film, so much atmosphere and suspense. It just annoyed me in the sequel how easy it was to kill the “ultimate ” being
