Quartic steering wheels, an unpopular gimmick on Allegros have been replaced by circular ones on all models. The range of choice is unusually wide from the 1098 cc engine with push rod-operated valves up to the overhead camshaft 1748 cc unit with five-speed gearbox in a compact car with two or four doors. The suspension uses gas springs with water and anti freeze for damping and the front/rear interconnection.
