Audi’s good looking front drive 1.8 litre range continues in four door saloon and two door coupe form for 1976. Three saloons will be imported, the 1760 cc LS and 1871 cc GL with automatic transmission an option, and the super luxury SE with automatic as standard. The 1871 cc two-door 100S coupe continues unchanged but the saloons have new type dampeners and strengthened structures. All 100 models are noted for quiet fast cruising but the high gearing, also contributes to good fuel consumption characteristics. Steering is of the safety self stabilising type.
